Make sure to include both the job title and location of the job if you email me directly. *** Permanent, full time job ( direct hire ) offering W2 compensation with full benefits *** Job location: on site in Hornell, NY ( 70 miles south from Rochester, NY ) EHS Engineer ( EHS Specialist - Environmental Health & Safety ) : - As a Site Environment, Health, and Safety Technician/Engineer, the purpose of this role is to ensure/provide a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors, minimize impacts on the environment, and protect our assets and reduces risks of business interruption from natural catastrophes. - Support Site EHS manager on EHS topics - Develop/Maintain Site EHS Management System - EHS Compliance - Develop EHS Culture at the site - Our ambition is to strive for zero accidents and incidents, to cause zero environmental damage, and to care of our employee and contractors' health and wellbeing. - Establishes & Monitors EHS plan to prevent accidents/incidents and environmental damages and ensure compliance with EHS regulations and customer requirements. - Risks assessment and health & environmental impact analysis: prepares, implements and maintains the project emergency plans & drills. - Establishes and maintains the project EHS management plan and associated documents in compliance with regulations, corporate standards and contract requirements. - Accident/Incident investigation, analysis and KPI reporting. - Monitors EHS compliance with local laws and regulations and corporate standards. - Performs Audit and inspection (coordinates EHS technical inspections of equipment / tools and implements corrective actions as needed). - Alerts the Project HSE Manager of environmental incidents, non-compliances and complaints. - Has the authority to stop, and must stop, every dangerous situation or each work condition not allowed by corporate standards. - Conducts EHS Training. Qualifications : - College Degree in EHS discipline (bachelor's or master's) - Actual experience of at least 1 year in Environment, Health, & Safety - Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental protection legislation and regulations and standards like 29 CFR 1910, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001 - Knowledge of local legal EHS requirements Ideally : - Experience with site inspection, audit reports and close out reports. - Experience with risk assessment and environmental impact analysis and survey - Experience with Health & Safety management (asbestos, noise, temperature, chemicals, vibrations, working posture end effort etc; lockout tagout, electrical safety, machine safety, work at height, excavation works, lifting operations, vehicles movements, permit to work, etc) - Experience with environmental impacts management (waste, energy, water, soil and groundwater contamination, air pollution, hazardous substances management, noise,...) - Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis, definition of corrective and preventive action plans Please send me your details (resume, work authorization status, current location, availability and compensation expectations) directly to: denis.potapenko@systemone.com for an immediate consideration.
