Job Description:

DRAFTSMAN


You First Services, Inc. is currently hiring a drafter fluent in Inventor 3D modeling for a contract assignment.


Responsibilities:


To take an existing 3D model and develop 2D assembly/part drawings for production build.

Create BOMs with proper part descriptions for each modeled component.

Generate General Arrangement drawings.

Capable of taking actual measurements on the shop floor units to confirm dimensions.

Interpret dimensional prints from suppliers.

Generate control panel layouts with guidance from Engineers.

Taking direction (suggestions) from manufacturing/engineers and implementing it in the 3D model.

Must be able to handle multiple projects and manage time to meet schedule.

Excellent communicator with project managers, engineers, purchasing, and sub-contractors.


Qualifications:


Fluent in Inventor 3D modeling and AutoCAD. Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical is must.

Good understanding of drafting fundamentals (detail dwgs), GD&T, and design for manufacturing/assembly concepts.

Good understanding of manufacturing and machining process.

Understanding of component assemblies (blowers, motors, gauges, thermocouples, etc), hardware (nuts/bolts), and various flange connections.

Experience designing structural steel base frames and enclosures.

Experience designing piping spool assemblies.

Experience with gauge and transmitter assemblies.

Experience generating General Arrangement drawings.

Experience with electrical designs and layouts is desired.
