Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete
projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Reviews industry
policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and
regulatory compliance. Reviews reports of production, malfunction,
and maintenance to determine or address problems. Provides
technical support for the engineering process. Collaborates with
other engineering departments and coordinates their specialized
contributions to the development of the project. May provide a
leadership role for the work group through knowledge in
specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or
business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry
Scope & Responsibilities
Designs, implements, and communicates, an operational plan for
completing the project.
Monitors progress and performance against the project plan.
Takes action to ensure that projects conform to schedule and budget
requirements. Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary
to complete the project.
Prepares engineering designs and work specifications.
Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external

Education & Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's degree in engineering; Project
Management Professional certification plus 10 years' experience
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENT: Technical degree with large project
experience including estimating and scheduling and cost control
coupled with direct refinery / chemical plant project
