Employer: State FTE: 1.00 Position Summary: The department of
Epidemiology and Environmental Health is a dynamic workplace with a
strong commitment to improving population health for over 100
years. We are seeking candidates for two senior Full Professor HS
(tenure eligible) positions in the Graduate Public Health Program
with funding and a history of leadership in aging research
including, but not limited to, frailty, cancer, women's health, and
cognition/dementia. We are keenly interested in candidates with
established research teams and welcome team member applications to
our Asst/Assoc level (tenure-track/tenure eligible) posting at .
Successful candidates for the two Full Professor HS positions will
join a University-wide multidisciplinary team of public health
faculty and be part of the Department of Epidemiology and
Environmental Health ( EEH ). These are calendar year (12-month),
tenure eligible positions, fully funded by New York State, and we
anticipate that candidates will be appropriate for tenure review.
Faculty members will:
- Be expected to be research productive: bringing grant funding,
applying for and winning grants and producing peer-reviewed
publications.
- Be expected to teach 1 course (3-4 credit hours) per
semester.
- Be expected to make contributions to the scholarship and
service missions of the School of Public Health and Health
Professions (SPHHP) and assist in the development and delivery of
curriculum on aging and population health. We are particularly
looking for candidates who can operate effectively in a diverse

Epidemiology and Environmental Health ( EEH ) prides itself in its
multidisciplinary faculty, with faculty research focused on chronic
diseases (e.g., cancer, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis,
periodontal disease, diabetes, eye disease), environmental health,
global health, infectious disease, women's health, genetics,
nutrition, health care delivery, quality of care, health policy,

- A doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DDS, PharmD, etc.) in a public
health discipline or a related field
- Funded research related to aging and leadership experience
- A record of excellence in funded research and scholarly
contributions Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience, including working with other senior
scientists in interdisciplinary teams
- Expertise in aging research areas
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching
- Experience successfully mentoring both senior and junior
faculty as well as graduate students
- A record of research/scholarship, teaching and service,
