Infrastructure Technician to support our growing operations by
maintaining water systems and ensuring our manufactured home
communities have safe, reliable water service. Cook Properties is
New York State’s largest owner and operator of manufactured housing
communities, with 100 mobile home parks totaling 7,000 pads, along
with 200,000 square feet of commercial, retail, and office space,
and 2,000 self-storage units. As a Water Infrastructure Technician,
you will play a central role in identifying and repairing water
leaks, maintaining water infrastructure, and supporting community
operations. This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented
professional who excels in problem-solving, working independently,
and operating specialized equipment safely and efficiently. You’ll
ensure water systems are functioning properly while minimizing
disruption to residents and maintaining strong community standards.
From locating leaks and operating excavation equipment to
performing repairs and responding to emergencies, this role
requires a proactive technician focused on accuracy, safety, and
continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with on-site
staff and leadership to ensure reliable water service and
well-maintained communities. If you are motivated, practical, and

have you on our team. What You'll Get to Do As a Water
Infrastructure Technician, you will: Locate and diagnose water
leaks in underground and above-ground water systems throughout
manufactured home communities. Operate digging equipment, including
mini excavators and trenchers, to access water lines and perform
repairs. Repair water lines, service connections, valves, meters,
and other infrastructure components. Utilize leak detection tools
and equipment to pinpoint issues accurately. Respond to emergency
water issues, including main breaks and service disruptions. Shut
off and restore water service as needed to complete repairs safely.
Document work performed, materials used, and locations of repairs.
Collaborate with community management and internal teams regarding
outages and repairs. Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in
safe working condition. Follow all safety procedures, OSHA
guidelines, and company policies to ensure personal and team
safety. Requirements: Qualifications What We Seek: High school
diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or
certifications in plumbing, water systems, or utility operations
preferred. Experience in water distribution, plumbing, or
underground utility work preferred. Ability to safely operate
excavation and digging equipment. Familiarity with PVC, copper,
PEX, and other common water piping materials. Strong
troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working
outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physically
demanding tasks. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving
