Job Description Job Description Salary: $25 - $35 an hour The
Manufacturing Maintenance Technician role is an integral part of
the Maintenance department in maintaining the day-to-day
operational activities. This role will work with our maintenance
team to ensure machines are maintained with a high level of
accuracy and reliability. Through supporting roll forming machines,
shears and hydraulic and pneumatic punching equipment, mechanical
presses, turrets and folders as well as electronic equipment,
including input/output networks, PLC Support, variable speed
drives, ranging from simple onoff controls to complex control
wiring for product lines, with Hydraulic and pneumatics controls.
Assist and carry out break down and preventative maintenance
activities to ensure efficient uptime and quality of the Studco
Building Systems product range. We are looking for someone to work
on our 1st shift or 2nd shift (3 PM - 12 AM) to join our
Maintenance Team! 2nd shift has a 10% shift differential on top of
base pay! Developmental opportunities and growth as identified by
the business. General Responsibilities Work as a vital part of the
Maintenance team, liaising with all levels of employees in cross
functional setting to minimize machine downtime and improve
efficiencies. Abide by communication protocol for all Studco Team
Members. Work as a team. Call out for additional assistance
immediately when a question comes up that you are not highly
competent in responding to. Manage time in an effective manner,
such that all tasks are done in specific time zones each day.
Maintain OH&S requirements Main Activities and Performance
standards: Liaise with all levels of employees under direction from
the Operations Manager Troubleshoot and repair roll formers and
other equipment, properly documenting machine issues in FIXX
maintenance program. Able to use drill presses, grinders, tool and
die equipment. Replace and repair bearings, shafts, dies, punches,
sleeves and rolls Ability to read and interpret blueprints and
schematics. Perform and document preventative maintenance as
required. Machining and fitting to modify machinery, rolls, dies
and equipment. Troubleshoot / diagnose PLC control systems software
and hardware issues Troubleshoot / diagnose AMS/Eclipse Rollforming
software system and issues Communicate machine issues/downtime to
other shifts as well as supervisor/management Increase machine
uptime and support operators to improve efficiency. Proactive
Maintenance approach: Effective Preventative Maintenance
inspections/Planned Corrective Maintenance Complete PM tasks,
necessary inspections, and repairs Review accuracy measurement
inspections for part lengths. Training to support operators.
Routine checks on control wiring. Root cause Analysis/reports of
critical failures Preferred knowledge: PLC trouble shooting Control
wiring experience Machine electrical troubleshooting Hydraulic
experience Pneumatic experience Machine break down experience
Mechanical aptitude Experience with equipment build, process
automation, and shop floor control systems. Welding, fabrication,
pneumatic and hydraulic skills for equipment repair Tool and Die
Experience Preferred Skills Able to perform manual work
