Job Description:
Administrative Assistant I – Job Summary The Administrative
Assistant I provides front-desk, administrative, and operational
support to ensure efficient office operations, including assistance
with the organization's food pantry. This role is highly
customer-facing and supports staff, leadership, and community
members. Responsibilities include: Answering phones, greeting
visitors, and routing inquiries Managing documents, data entry,
referrals, and basic reports Supporting schedules, meetings,
supplies, and maintenance requests Assisting with agency events,
projects, and internal operations Supporting food pantry stocking,
inventory, and required paperwork Helping maintain organized,
welcoming office and pantry environments Qualifications: High
School diploma or Associate's degree with at least 1 year of
related experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong
communication, organization, and customer service skills Ability to
work independently in a fast-paced environment Valid NYS driver's
license required Commitment to the organization's mission and
values Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend,
and lift up to 30 lbs, with or without reasonable
accommodation.
