Job Description:

Responsible for coordinating orders for shipping. Priority to be placed on customer service account requirements, commitments and shipping orders "on time." This role requires the ability to locate and assign transportation providers to individual shipments based on factors such as transit time requirements, costs, service and create bill of ladings. Communicate with internal customer service to advise of issues and answer requests.
Maintain and report on all carrier and transportation issues, applicable to outbound activity.
In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:
Specific Duties/Essential Functions:
Generates outbound orders and reviews on a daily basis for shipments of orders with available product
Reviews inbound inter-company truck list for potential shipments
Maintains communication with finance on current customer hold list
Maintains control of current customer hold list, and applies accordingly to outbound shipment
Combines shipping orders to minimize freight costs
Routes shipments per customer requests. Where a carrier is not requested, will follow routings established by the Fulfillment and Delivery Manager
Arrange with carriers daily pick up of shipments
Reports on any shipments not picked up when scheduled
Applies all established sales policies, procedures and requirements applicable to outbound shipments
Establish and maintain communication with Customer Service regarding change orders and shipping requirements
Establish and maintain customer and carrier communication applicable to outbound shipments
Investigate and report on customer discrepancy claims
Reviews open orders and actions as necessary
Assists Buyer/Planners in stock verifications on finished good items
Maintain location data by item for stock product on the system
Creates documents required for international shipments
Performs other duties and assignment as direct by Fulfillment and Delivery Manager
Role Requirements
Proven knowledge of freight terms and conditions
Proven knowledge of warehouse procedures
Related warehouse/ manufacturing experience preferred
Basic computer knowledge, Outlook, Word and Excel.
Experience with international documents and procedures
Ability to operate forklift
Strong, team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for action.
Self-directed with ability to work autonomously and collaboratively and a focus on results.
Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations
Self-starter with positive attitude and attention to detail
Professional demeaner and appearance.
