The headquarters facility, reflective of our values, integrates the latest advances in environmental, energy conservation and office design.----The OpportunityThe Regional Controller will oversee all financial and reporting functions for the region within the subsidiary including accounting, payroll, annual plan, audit assistance, and cash management. In addition to ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of all regional financial reporting, the Regional Controller will oversee all regional projections, budgets, and the explanation of financial trends. The Regional Controller will also partner with Finance leadership to consolidate regional financial results, and analyze causality and trends to build and communicate forecasts, projections, and budgets useful in operational decision making. The Regional Controller will work to continuously develop his/her direct reports, strengthen the department, and improve the supporting functions.Determine when training, reviews, and disciplinary actions are needed Administer annual performance reviews for direct reportsDevelop and translate strategy into operational goals and objectives Identify necessary resources (people and capital) and assess opportunities against business objectives Manage the operations of the accounting department, including supervision of accounting and cash room personnel and review/approval of reportsImplement and enforce internal controlsTravel to business units (ideally monthly) to review accounting procedures and current operationsEnsure all regional weekly flash reports are accurate and explanatory of projected financial performanceLead or assist with all financial and reporting (in conjunction with other on-site leadership) for the unit including accounting, payroll, annual plan, audit assistance, and cash managementIdentify Employer client exceptions to the standard Accounting processes and identify, in conjunction with business unit leadership, ways to gradually shift client's expectations towards Employer's standard practicesWork closely with MSP and/or Business Services Retained to continuously improve efficacy handoffs or transitions of work Responsible for analyzing and reporting variances and driving month-end accounting dutiesCollaborate with corporate functions across the board to ensure any required changes to policies, procedures, and processes are implementedCollaborate with data owners/stewards to align on process and data issuesRespond to questions and act as a liaison between departments Determines how to operationalize processes in alignment with strategic visionUtilizes knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles to drive consistency in operations--Uses organizational skills and attention to detail; performs detailed work with speed and accuracyDemonstrates a positive attitude, energy and professionalismQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Required.-- 5-10 years experience in a financial setting with supervisory/ management experience--preferably in the hospitality or sports & entertainment industries Experience managing multiple operations in excess of $100+ million Demonstrated experience in accounting, compliance and auditing Experience with PeopleSoft Financials, Hyperion and POS systems a plus Must be able to travel 40- 50% of the timeWho We AreTake your career beyond the ordinary-to the extraordinary.At Employer, you'll love where you work, who you work with, and how your day unfolds.
