The DEIS must translate the technology risk requirements and constraints of the business into technical control requirements and specifications. The Director of Enterprise Information Security will act during Technology planning initiatives to ensure that security measures are incorporated into strategic Technology plans and that service expectations are clearly defined. The DEIS will also be responsible for working with business and Technology stakeholders to balance real-world risks with business drivers such as speed, agility, flexibility and performance. The DEIS is responsible for managing multiple teams, and ensuring their work is aligned with business objectives. In addition to supporting the CISO's policies and strategies, the DEIS must be able to prioritize work efforts, balancing operational tasks with longer-term strategic security efforts. Primary Responsibility Enable secure innovation and business growth through the work of the various EIS teams. Work with the CISO to develop a security program and security projects that address identified risks and business security requirements. Manage the process of gathering, analyzing and assessing the current and future threat landscape, as well as providing the CISO with a realistic overview of risks and threats in the enterprise environment. Work with the CISO to develop budget projections based on short- and long-term business goals and objectives. Propose changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency and regulatory compliance. Manage enterprise information security managers, recruit, engage and grow talent and bench strength, engage and support the retention of high caliber staff members, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and coaching. Engage colleagues, provide security communications, awareness and education for a variety of audiences, which may range from senior executive leaders to individual contributors. Work as a liaison with vendors and the legal and purchasing departments to establish mutually acceptable contracts, statements of work, and service-level agreements. Serve as an active and consistent participant in the information security governance process. Work with the CISO and Technology and business stakeholders to define metrics and reporting strategies that effectively communicate successes and progress of the security program. Consult with Technology and security staff to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of hardware, applications and software. Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies. Work with the enterprise architecture function to ensure that there is a convergence of business, technical and security requirements; liaise with Technology management to align existing technical installed base and skills with future business requirements. Coordinate, measure and report on the technical aspects of security management. Manage outsourced vendors that provide information security functions for compliance with contracted service-level agreements. Manage security projects and provide expert guidance on security matters for other Technology projects. Assist and guide the disaster recovery planning team in the selection of recovery strategies and the development, testing and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and EIA processes. Ensure audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources are reviewed periodically and are in compliance with policies and audit requirements. Design, coordinate and oversee security testing procedures to verify the security of systems, networks and applications, and manage the remediation of identified risks. Performs other duties as required. Knowledge and Skills Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to develop, coach and guide enterprise information security group managers and staff. The ability to interact with cross-functional HealthNow team members, build strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understand business imperatives. A strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies and policies. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the Technology organization, project and application development teams, management and business personnel; in-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles as a means of relating business needs to security controls; an excellent understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry effective practices and strategies. Experience working with legal, audit and compliance staff. Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 2700x. Familiarity with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, the U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Strong project management skills and experience in creating and managing project plans, including budgeting and resource allocation. Proficiency in performing risk, business impact, control and vulnerability assessments, and in defining treatment strategies. Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans. Strong analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls. An understanding of operating system internals and network protocols. Familiarity with the principles of cryptography and cryptanalysis. Experience in system technology security testing (vulnerability scanning and penetration testing). Experience Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent work experience; an M.B.A. or M.S. in information security is preferred. A minimum of ten years of IT experience, with seven years in an information security role and at least five years in a managerial and leadership capacity. Certification including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or similar. Education Required Education:Bachelors Degree (Computer Information Systems) Working Conditions Must be able to work in an office environment Manual Dexterity Req: Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to effectively use a computer with all its components for prolonged periods of time and for the majority of required tasks Manual Dexterity Req: Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to effectively utilize various office equipment (phone, computer, fax machine, printer, copier, filing cabinet, etc)
