Job Description:
The Production Planning Manager is responsible for the material
system design and improvement, capacity planning, and long-range
master schedule to meet budget and customer delivery dates. The
Production Planning Manager will lead a team and have direct
ownership in the development of material management and planning
policies, procedures and standard work as they relate to the site
strategies. This position will collaborate cross functionally
and/or lead lean and continuous improvement initiatives to
implement advance lean scheduling methodologies.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
AND RESPONSIBILITIES? Comply with and manage all personnel working
under your supervision to ensure adherence to the Company?s Code of
Conduct and Ethics and Company Values.? Lead the site in the
development of successful material planning strategies based on
current customer demand, future growth, new product introduction,
and capacity that results in right sized inventory management.? Own
Capacity Planning analysis to identify constraints and lead Value
Stream Production Planners to facilitate discussions within the
Value Stream to close gaps that support the Sales and Operations
planning outlook.? Develop a balanced long-range Master Production
Schedule on a monthly cadence.? Utilize lean manufacturing and
continuous improvement to develop and implement policies,
procedures, standard work, tools, and training for the planning,
production control and material handling team to drive improvements
across the Value Streams.? Develop, maintain, and report monthly
Key Performance Indicators (KPI?s) that measure performance and
achieve value stream initiatives aligned with organization
strategies.? Drive data and inventory transaction accuracy in the
ERP system.? Provide leadership, facilitation and coaching to
develop Value Stream Production Planners and Material Handling
team.? Provide oversight across the site through Leader Standard
Work and daily management walks to drive improvement.? Collaborate
with cross functional teams to identify road blocks and actions
through problem solving facilitation and provide solutions to
remove or mitigate issues.? Work closely with Sales to provide
timely status updates related to customer promise dates and
shipments including recovery plans for missed shipment
commitments.? Responsible for material and production planning
staff, which may include planner, material control, shipping &
receiving and plan for every part (PFEP) owner roles.? Perform
other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSQualifications:? Bachelor?s
degree in Business, Engineering or related field with greater than
6 years of progressive experience in manufacturing. At least 2
years of experience as a supervisor is required.? Extensive
experience working within an ERP and/or MRP system is required.?
CPPE or ASCM certification preferred.? Working knowledge and
experience with Lean principles with a proven experience leading
cross functional teams driving change and improving systems and
processes.? Proven capabilities in the area of planning and
manufacturing processes for machining and assembly manufacturing
environments, including scheduling, shop floor planning, kanban and
supply chain.? Strong communication, organizational and analytical
skills.? Experience using Microsoft Office SuiteCompetencies:? Lead

duties in person, over the telephone, and on the production
floor.Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over
the telephone, and on the production floor.Vision: Visual acuity
adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of
manufactured parts and reading information from printed sources and
computer screens.Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying
items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting
co-workers when required. Adequate physical ability including
sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite inspection
duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand
movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some
heavy lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a
