Position Summary:Under general supervision the Manufacturing Engineer ? CNC Programmer is responsible formanaging the creation and improvement of manufacturing processes & CNC programs. Evaluatesmanufacturing processes by designing and conducting analysis; applying knowledge of mechanics,shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout and machining procedures. Programmer will workacross the organization to ensure timelines as well as quality goals are met.Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six plus years of related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. A bachelor?s ortechnical degree and four plus years of experienced preferred. Extensive knowledge of G-Code,conversational and other programming languages is required. Familiarity with Fanuc, Fadal, andOkuma machines is preferred. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, processsketches, and understanding measuring instruments. Gibbs Cam experience preferred. Mustprocess a clear understanding of advanced math (including trigonometry and algebra) and have theability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:? Read blue prints to review programming specifications.? Program and operate multi-axis machining centers? Assist in the design of machining fixtures to improve productivity.? Select tools and edit efficient programs for CNC machines to maximize utilization andminimize downtime of the equipment. Make offset and edit adjustments on machines.? Identify areas of improvement for fixturing, tool paths, tooling, etc. and implement actionplans.? Assist in training of employees and the development of an entry-level machining program.? Aid other employees in determining sequential machining operations and troubleshootingproblems.? Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching,designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring withequipment vendors.? Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing process outputs and planning work flow.? Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- productand process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.? Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, andmaterial costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.? Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing informationand trends.? Provides manufacturing engineering information when responding to internal and externalinquiries and maintain resolution documentation.? Maintains product and process data base by ensuring the documentation is up to date andstored in a central repository.? Perform other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the productionfloor.Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of manufacturedparts and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, includingassisting co-workers when required. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity toperform the requisite manufacturing duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive handmovements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing and pullingexerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.Rate: $75k - $85kStatus: ExemptShift: Office - Onsiteby Jobble
